ABOUT PUBLIC RIGHTS ACTION NETWORK (PRAN)
Public Rights Action Network (PRAN) is an independent legal awareness and public-interest advocacy initiative led by Advocate Amarjeet Singh Panghal (MA LLB, LLM). PRAN works to strengthen access to justice by providing simplified, accurate, and timely information on Indian laws, court judgments, consumer rights, public health policies, and governance reforms.
Founded with the mission to bridge the gap between legal developments and public understanding, PRAN publishes clear, reliable, and well-researched updates on Supreme Court and High Court judgments, consumer protection issues, public safety, human rights, and regulatory frameworks that affect everyday life.

ABOUT THE AUTHOR
Advocate Amarjeet Singh Panghal is an experienced Indian advocate with over 20 years of practice in criminal law, consumer protection, public health legislation, and social sector advocacy.
He is licensed with the Bar Council of Delhi and is a member of the Supreme Court Bar Association.
His career spans legal practice, public-interest litigation, civil society engagement, policy analysis, and capacity building. He has led major research and advocacy initiatives supported by international and national organizations, including CTFK, GRSP, Nutrition International, SSNC, and Oxfam India.
He has authored several reports, legal guides, training manuals, and policy documents on consumer protection, road safety, tobacco control, governance, and human rights.
At PRAN, he brings together his legal expertise and public-interest commitment to ensure the public receives accurate, meaningful, and accessible legal information.
